Keeper of the Stars

Give Me A House

It was no accident, me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew
Now I just can't believe you're in my life
Heaven's smilin' down on me
As I look at you tonight
And the keeper of the stars

I tip my hat
To the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doing
When he joined these two hearts
I hold everything with you
When I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars

Soft moonlight on your face
Oh how you shine
It takes my breath away
Just to look into your eyes
I know I don't deserve
A treasure like you
There really are no words
To show my gratitude
To the keeper of the stars

I tip my hat
To the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doin'
When he joined these two hearts
I hold everything with you
When I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars

It was no accident me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew

Give me a house, said Ester
Give me land said Max
Give me the moon, said Theo
Give me the sun, said Hats

Give me a horse, said Grandad
Give me a hound, said Nanny
Give me fine linen, said Grandad
Give me silk, said Hattie

Give me a mountain, said Auntie Michelle
Give me a valley, said Eoghen and Finley
Give me a river, said Uncle Bob
Give me the sky, said Immy

Give me the ocean, said Esther
Give me a ship, said Max
Give me a kingdom, said Theo
Give me a crown, said Hats

Give me gold, said our brother and sister
Give me silver, we said, “That’s cool!”
Give me love, said Mummy and Daddy
Or nothing at all.

Blessing of the Apaches

Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be shelter for the other.
Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other.
Now there will be loneliness, for each of you will be companion to the other.
Now you are two persons, but there is only one life before you.
May beauty surround you both in the journey ahead and through all the years.
May happiness be your companion and your days together be good and long upon the earth.
